As with any new puppy, it takes some effort on the human’s part to get your new puppy house trained. We have found that by introducing a doggy door at a very young age as well as leaving out puppy “pee pads”, even while the babies are still with their mother, have both been a definite benefit in getting the babies a jump start on house training!! Being consistent in taking out your new puppy is also very important. There is not a better time than the summer, when the kids are out of school and available to assist with this!! With the poodle’s intelligence and the retriever’s people pleasing personality, it is no wonder that most Goldendoodles are relatively easy to house train with a litte effort on your part!!
